Emeco started in 1944 already green. The US Navy commissioned them a chair that could outlast the difficult conditions of sea life and the 1006 Navy Chair was born. Made out of recycled salvaged aluminum it’s also endlessly recyclable, which means that it could be recycled over and over again. Also, after almost 80 years, it is still being made in America and by hand. The craftsmen build them so strong that the 1006 Navy Chair is guaranteed for life.

Today, Emeco pursues other waste streams as well like scrap plastic, reclaimed wood, cork or eco-concrete. Around 90% of their entire product range is made from recycled materials. Keeping them away from landfills and being turned into long-lasting products.
